Nora Joy is a singer-songwriter from Stratford, Ontario, whose music blends indie folk and pop with thoughtful lyrics, warm melodies and an intimate, honest voice.  She began writing songs at eleven and has developed into a compelling live performer, appearing both solo and with a four-piece band.

In 2024, Nora was selected as a winner of the Ontario Youth Discoveries Competition, earning a performance at Summerfolk Festival, where her solo set was highlighted in festival press coverage as one of the weekend’s standouts.

That same year, Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith invited Nora to join him onstage at his sold-out Sexsmith at Sixty concert. She later travelled to Eastcote Studios in London, UK, to sing backing vocals on Sexsmith’s 2025 album Hangover Terrace. Nora went on to open for Sexsmith on dates across Ontario and on a 12-show tour of the UK and Ireland in 2026.

Nora released her self-titled debut album in February 2026. The 12-track record features 11 original songs and reflects the experiences, relationships and uncertainty of growing up. She is now writing material for her second album while continuing to develop her live show and build toward an active 2027 touring year.
